Getting started
Charge the internal battery:
Using the included USB cable, connect the unit to the USB output of a computer, or other suitable USB
power source. If the battery is fully discharged, you will need to have this connected for several
minutes before powering on the Personal Recorder.
Note:
It is recommended that you power the unit using the separately USB power adapter, as this will
provide much more consistent operation than powering directly from a personal computer.
Disconnect from the PC (unit may remain connected if powered by AC adapter). Power the unit ON by
depressing the MENU button for at least 10 seconds.
Connect an AV source:
Connect the product to the output jacks of an AV source such as a DVD player, VHS player or video
camera to the RED/WHITE/YELLOW input RCA connectors. Press the MODE button to toggle
between record and playback mode.
Record:
Press MODE button to enter RECORD mode. Press the “REC” key to start recording. Press it again to
save the recorded video and continue to record the next video.
Playback:
Press mode button to enter PLAYBACK mode. Press the

key to PLAY/PAUSE the video.
If multiple videos are stored, press the forward and back keys to select video. Audio material may be
heard through the internal speaker. The volume level is adjusted via the UP/DOWN buttons.
Playback can be viewed either through the internal monitor, or external composite video, or HDMI
digital monitor. The Personal Recorder is equipped with a standard HDMI output, as well as a 3.5mm
jack for composite video + L/R line level audio. Note that when an external monitor is used, the
internal monitor will be deactivated.
Connection to PC:
Start your PC, connect the product with the PC by the provided USB cable for charge or data transfer.
When the PC shows USB code , you can copy or delete the video on the product.
Notes
: The item will be automatically charged once USB is connected. It is recommended that you do
not play video on this unit while connected to the USB port as it may draw too much current. You
should only play video on this unit while powered by the internal battery or an optional AC adapter.
Insertion / removal of micro SD card
Insert the card, with contact sides facing upward. Note the card will insert and with spring action
latch into place. Press again, the card will spring out slightly, then it can be pulled out.
