1. DISC MODE
To select this mode, press the MODE button. Then press the SET button to change the
operation mode from SENS to DISC / NOTCH, then press and hold "+" to increase the
number of metal icons on the display. (Discrimination Scope). To reduce the
discrimination range, press the "-" button
The metal categories are shown at the top of the display
2. NOTCH MODE
Press the MODE button to enter the NOTCH operation mode (NOTCH symbol gets
illuminated). Press the SET button, the DISC / NOTCH symbol lights up. Press the "+"
button, the arrow pointing to the target will flash. Press the ACC / REJ button to
accept or reject the specific type of metal. Continue the operation through all metal
categories, selecting or discarding the metal category according to your intended use.
When you press the "-" button, the arrows below the categories will move from right
to left.
3. SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT IN DISC and NOTCH MODES
Press the SENS button until the SENS symbol at the top left of the screen lights up.
Using the "+" or "-" buttons, increase or decrease the sensitivity of the device. It is
recommended to set the device to the maximum detection depth.
DISC / NOTCH mode: The unit will emit a dedicated beep for each metal category. This
makes it easier to identify the detected metal.
Note! To detect a deeply embedded target, set the sensitivity to a high level but not
the highest. Setting the device to the highest sensitivity level will cause it to receive
signals from broadcast antennas or other telecom lines.
4. ALL-METAL MODE:
It is used to detect every type of metal. Press the MODE button to activate the ALL-
METAL mode. The mode will be displayed at the bottom left of the screen. Metal
discrimination is not available in this mode.
The device beeps once when it detects any type of metal. To set this mode, start by
turning the GND BAL knob to P. Press and release GND TRAC to stabilize the device. It
is better to press GND TRAC 2-3 times each time you enter ALL-METAL mode. In the
ALL-METAL mode, the device works without motion detection. Press GND TRAC after
each GND BAL adjustment. When it detects a metal target, the device will beep and
the ellipses will light up in the center of the display. These are reference levels that
indicate the estimated depth of the detected target.
5. GROUND BALANCE
It is used to counterbalance the influence of minerals present in the soil or to
counterbalance the influence of salt water in the ALL-METAL mode.
