UNPACKING AND SET UP
•
Carefully remove the unit from the carton and remove all polystyrene and
other packing material from the unit. Please keep the box and all its packing
materials until you are fully satisfied all parts are working satisfactorily or in
case the unit needs returning for service.
•
Unwind the AC power cord and extend it to its full length.
•
Unwind the FM Antenna wire and extend it to its full length.
•
Place the unit on a stable, level surface*, near a suitable AC outlet, out of
Direct sunlight, and away from sources of excess heat, dust, moisture,
humidity or strong magnetic fields.

: * A matching stand is available for
purchase from your Dealer, Model STD E516.
•
Lift up the lid to expose the Turntable. See label on deck and separate note
on how to close the lid.
•
The Turntable has been secured for
transportation with a Transit Screw. Use a coin
or screwdriver to turn the transit screw clockwise.
This will allow the turntable to “float”.
•
Remove the opaque white plastic stylus cover
from the stylus by sliding it forward and down.
•
When transporting the unit it is advisable to refit
the stylus cover to protect the needle from
damage.
•
Remove the twist-tie that was used to secure the
tone arm during shipment.
•
Release the tone arm lock lever.
•
Connect the 3-pin plug to your AC power outlet.
