Marking hole locations on top(s) of files(s)
Starting from the left side and front edge(s) measure and mark places to be drilled. Use hammer and center punch
to locate holes. Drill 1/4” hole at required locations.

Positioning and securing top onto lateral files(s)
Center top onto file(s). Align slots in top braces of 4200 Series with drilled holes in top of lateral file(s) Secure top
in place starting at the two extreme front corners.
NOTE: A 9/64” dia. x 1/2” deep pilot holes can be drilled into the
top, using the holes in the lateral file(s) top as a guide. Use No. 10 x 3/4” screws to secure all tops except “Bullnose
Tops” which require No. 10 x1” screws.
The illustration below illustrates (2) side views of bullnose top positioned on
top of file(s). One top allows the overhang only at the front of file(s), while the other allows the overhang at both
front and rear of files(s).
