Wireless Setting
The Wireless Setting screen lets you change the mode the WAP is operating in. The
options available on the Wireless Setting screen change depending on the mode you
select.
AP Mode
When you are satisfied with your AP settings, click Apply.
Parameter
Description
Mode
The mode fields shows that the WAP is in AP (access point)
mode.
Alias Name
You can change the alias name of the WAP.
ESSID
You can change the ESSID (up to 31 printable ASCII characters)
for your WAP. Remember, in order for your wireless clients to
associate with each other, they must have the same ESSID.
Channel Number
You can change the channel the WAP is using. Remember, in
order for your wireless clients to associate with the WAP, they
must have the same channel. Whenever you change the
channel on the WAP, make sure that the channel numbers on
your associated clients are also changed.
Associated Clients
Clicking on the Show Active Clients button brings up the
Active Wireless Client Table. The table shows the MAC
Address, number of transmitted packets, number of received
packets, transfer rate, power saving mode, and time expired for
each device associated with the WAP.
