Install a drive
The SATSASTRX25 supports drives that are 5 mm, 7 mm, 9.5 mm, 12.5 mm, or 15 mm
high.
Warning!
Drives should be handled carefully, especially when they’re transported.
If you’re not careful with your drives, you may lose data as a result. Always handle
storage devices with caution. Make sure that you’re properly grounded by wearing an
anti-static strap when you install any computer component. If an anti-static strap isn’t
available, touch a large grounded metal surface for several seconds to discharge any
built-up static electricity.
1. Insert the drive into the drive tray, making sure that the mounting holes on the
bottom of the drive line up with the mounting holes on the drive tray.
2. Insert the provided screws through the mounting holes in the drive tray and into
the holes in the drive.
3. Tighten the screws by turning them clockwise.
Remove a drive
Warning!
You should disconnect the drive from your computer before you physically
remove the drive tray from the backplane.
1. Remove the drive tray from the SATSASBPx25 backplane.
2. Remove the screws from the mounting holes in the drive tray and the drive.
3. Remove the drive from the drive tray.
Additional information
If you require more information about how to use the drive tray or the backplane
that the tray goes into, see the documentation that came with the
or
backplane.
