Because Windows 2000 and XP all natively support USB devices, and require no driver
installation. To begin using FCREADHC:
1. Ensure the host computer is powered. Insert the USB
type ‘A’ connector into an available USB port on the
host computer.

2. Insert the remaining USB ‘Mini B’ connector into the
USB port on the side panel of the FCREADHC Card
Reader.
3. Windows will recognize that the Card Reader has
been connected, and will automatically install the
necessary drivers. You will notice several message
balloons near the taskbar (normally the bottom right
corner of the screen, near the clock) indicating that
new hardware has been detected.
4. Once Windows has completed the driver installation, a message balloon will appear
indicating that the new hardware has been installed and is ready for use. To begin
using the Card Reader, simply insert the card you wish to use into the appropriate
slot (based on size of card).
5. Browse to
My Computer
, where you will notice
a
Removable Disk
, indicating the installed
card. You can now access the installed card,
as though it were a hard drive installed within
the host computer.
