Before using your mobile phone, watch out for potentially
explosive areas that are often, though not always, clearly
marked. Such areas include below-deck on boats, chemical
transfer or storage facilities, and areas where the air
contains chemicals, grain, dust, or metal powders. Ask the
manufacturers of vehicles using liquefied petroleum gas
(such as propane or butane) if mobile phones can be safely
used in their vicinity.
Traffic Security
Observe local laws and regulations while using your mobile
phone. If you are using your mobile phone while driving a
vehicle, please comply with the following guidelines:
• Concentrate on driving. Your first responsibility is to drive
safely.
• Do not talk on your mobile phone while driving. Use
hands-free accessories.
• Park your vehicle at the side of the road before making or
answering a call.
• RF signals may affect electronic systems of some motor
vehicles. For more information on this, consult your
vehicle manufacturer.
• Do not place your mobile phone over the air bag or in the
air bag deployment area. You may be injured by the
device, owing to the strong force of its trajectory when
the air bag inflates.
• Do not use your mobile phone while inside an aircraft.
Switch off the device before boarding. Using wireless
devices in an aircraft may be dangerous to the operation
of the aircraft, disrupt pilot-ground communications, and
may be considered illegal.
