When carrying out service and repairs, any contaminated objects which cannot be cleaned
sati sfactorily must be disposed of. These objects must be disposed of in ti ght bags in compliance with
applicable waste disposal regulati ons.
6 Informati on for Zone 22 (model 22) devices
Industrial vacuums with the additi on „Type 22" can safely be used to vacuum up fl ammable, dry, non-conducti -
ve dust in explosive areas of Zone 22. This excludes dust with an extremely low minimum igniti on energy (MIE <
1mJ). Use for this type of dust requires a specifi c safety assessment and potenti ally additi onal measures.
They are not suitable for connecti on to machines producing dust.
Never use the device to sucti on hot materials. Do not use the device to clean open or closed fi replaces, stoves
or other devices containing hot ash or embers.
This device is not suitable for holding fl ammable dusts mixed with liquids.
Type 22 industrial vacuum cleaners are not safe to vacuum up explosive substances as defi ned by § 1 Explosives
Act. Do not vacuum up hot gases, igniti on sources of any type, mechanically produced sparks or electrostati cally
charged material. No smoking.
Furthermore, the devices are not suitable for Zones 0, 1 and 2 as well as 20 and 21.
The dust container must be empti ed aft er every use (see item 4.2)
CAUTION
Only use the device if all fi lters are installed and undamaged.
A damaged fi lter may result in dust being carried over into the clean gas area and present a risk of
dust explosion
CAUTION
Always use manufacturer-approved accessories compati ble with TYPE22. Using other accessories can
present an explosion hazard.
Replace defecti ve accessories
Regularly check if parti cles inside the device have deposited e.g. onto the motor. These deposits must be
cleaned off .
