OVERHEATING:
±
The shredder will shut off and the overheat indicator will
turn red if the motor becomes too hot after shredding for
more than 20 minutes.
±
Let the shredder cool until the overheat indicator turns
off (about 60 minutes).
±
The shredder will be ready to resume paper shredding by
pressing power on button when the motor has
sufficiently cooled.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
TO POWER ON:
1. Connect the power cord to any standard 120 volt AC
outlet. For pluggable equipment, the socket-outlet
shall be installed near the equipment and shall be
easily accessible.
2. Toggle the main power switch on the top panel to the
ON position.
3. Press the Power button to turn ON the shredder
and the LED light will be Blue.
4. Insert paper to activate.
SHREDDING:
1. Press the Power button to turn ON the shredder.
The LED will light Blue indicating “ON”. The shredder
is now in AUTO mode and ready to accept paper.
2. Feed up to the maximum allowed sheets of paper for
shredding into the paper feeding throat.
DO NOT exceed
maximum sheet count
when shredding paper. Doing so
may cause paper to incompletely shred and possibly jam
your unit.
3. Press the button on the control panel. The shredder
is now in Reverse mode, and the motor will move in
reverse to push out paper.
4. Press the button on the control panel. The shredder
is now in manual forward mode, and the motor will move
forward to shred paper.
For all safety purposes, turn off shredder when
not in use.

The shredder will shut off and the bin full indicator will
light yellow if the bin becomes too full.
CLEARING A JAM:
±
When a jam occurs the shredder will automatically stop
and reverse for a few seconds. The LED light will
turn Green.
±
To clear jam:
1. Hold down the reverse
button for 5 seconds. If the
jam does not clear, repeat this procedure until the jam
is cleared.
2. Grasp the excess paper.
3. Pull paper out.
If the jam does not clear, unplug the machine and remove
paper manually.
Do not place your hands near the feed opening.
EMPTYING BIN:
1. Toggle the power switch to the off position.
2. Pull out the bin and dispose of the paper shreds or
compress the shreds down.
3. Place the bin back in.
4. Toggle the power switch to on for normal operation.
DOOR OPEN:
When the bin is removed or the door ajar, the Yellow LED
will light “Door Open”. The shredder will not power on
until the bin is inserted.
PAPER CLIPS AND STAPLES:
IMPORTANT!
This shredder should NEVER shred anything
made of metal: staples, small paperclips, industrial or
non-standard size staples, jumbo and/or butterfly paperclips,
or binder clips. ONLY paper can be inserted to be shredded,
otherwise damage will be caused to the blades.
