Waves Records
setup, p.4
III. Installation in the Exhibition space:
1.
The turntable and the mixer should be installed on a pedestal, ca. 100 cm tall, if
the exhibition space is dark, please direct a spot light onto the record
player/mixer. Put one
Waves Record
vinyl record on the turntable – exhibition
visitors can play the vinyl record by themselves. They have to press the “START”
button on the turntable and then place the tone arm with the stylus on the record.
We included a second vinyl record in case the first one breaks or gets scratched
up.
2.
Hang the two prints on the wall next to the record player, the prints are unframed –
please use the supplied thumbtacks on the wall, one for each corner, then use the
rare earth magnets to attach the print’s corners to the thumbtacks.
Illuminate each of the prints with spotlights.
Please handle prints with gloves only
– for installation you may use the supplied gloves in the shipping crate.
3.
Hang the flatscreen TV on the wall, ideally the DVD player connected to it should
be hidden from view. Insert DVD into the DVD player (The DVD is in the NTSC
format, 16:9 and it should start playing back automatically). The DVD has sound
that should come through the flatscreen’s built-in speakers. Please set the level so
that it’s not too loud and interferes with the sounds from the record while listening
to them with headphones.
