MODE

The

HX300E

’s Menu Mode allows a number of the

HX300E

operating pa-

rameters to be custom-configured.
The Menu Mode is easy to activate and set, using the following procedure:

1. Turn the transceiver off by press and holding the

key.

2. Hold down the key, and then turn on the transceiv-

er while still holding down the key.

3. After “

” icon appears on the display let go of both

keys.

4. The key when pressed scrolls through each menu

item:

- Lamp mode,

- key beep,

- Scan Mode,

- Dual watch or Tri-Watch mode,

- Water Enabled Strobe Menu,

5. Press the

key will change the selection of

the selected menu item.

6. Press the key to save the menu selection.

7. After completing your adjustment, turn the transceiver off and on by

press and holding the

key.

Function

: Selects the Lamp illumination method for the LCD/Keypad.

Available Values

: on / ky / oF

Default

: kEY

on: Illuminates the LCD/Keypad continuously.

ky: Illuminates the LCD/Keypad for 5 seconds when any

key is pressed.

oF: Turns off the backlight for the LCD and keys.
