Ensure that the distances to Ex i electrical circuits comply with standards
(IEC/EN 60079-11).
▶
Select conductor cross-sections corresponding to the rated values, conditions of use and
installation method.
▶
Prior to commissioning, check the mounting for correctness
(see "Commissioning" chapter).
▶
Do not change or modify the device.
▶
Any switches that are too easy or difficult to switch should be checked by qualified
personnel for damage. Decommission the switches in this case.
▶
Service and repair the device only using original spare parts and after consultation with
R. STAHL.
4 Transport and Storage
▶
Transport and store the device carefully and only in accordance with the safety information
(see "Safety" chapter).
5 Product Selection, Project Engineering and Modification
5.1 Project Engineering
In addition to the safety-related points in chapter 3.3.1, the following conditions must also be
taken into account for the project engineering:

Ensure the correct rated operational voltage (see "Technical data" chapter).
6 Mounting and Installation
6.1 Mounting/Dismounting

Mount the device carefully and only in accordance with the safety notes
(see "Safety" chapter) and the project engineering specifications.
▶
Read through the following installation conditions and assembly instructions carefully and
follow them precisely.
6.1.1 Operating Position
The operating position is optional.
▶
Mount the device on a flat surface.
Mount and install the device in such a way that it is always operated within the permissible
temperature range.
