the concentrate. never add a concentrate to the water
bottle before carbonation.
cleaning and Maintenance
Wipe the HUGO soda maker with a soft damp cloth. If hea-
vily soiled you can wash the machine under running water.
Do not wash in a dishwasher.
changing the carbon Dioxide cylinder
When the carbon dioxide cylinder is empty, (when pressing
the carbonating button no more carbon dioxide is added to
the water) remove the carbon dioxide cylinder from your
HUGO soda maker, as described below.
1. Remove the water bottle from HUGO.
2. Turn HUGO upside down and unscrew anti-clockwise the
carbon dioxide cylinder out of the cylinder mounting.
3. Fit new cylinder as previously instructed.
4. Replacement carbon dioxide cylinders can be obtained
from your HUGO sales shop.
tip: We recommend that you purchase a second car-
bon dioxide cylinder. Just to make sure that you will
never run out of Soda drinks.
Rinse out the water bottles and seals before and after each
use with warm water. When required use Soda Clean, rinse
out with clean water. The bottles and seals are not suitable
for use in dishwasher. Do not use solvents or strong deter-
gents. If the bottle is not filled straight away store it with
the cap off so the inside can dry out.
Faults/Possible causes
Fault: The HUGO soda maker does not carbonate properly
Possible cause: Carbonating button not pressed hard
enough or gas cylinder not tightly screwed in.
Fault: Disturbing shrill whistling noise, gas leak when pres­
sing the carbonating button
Possible cause: The cylinder is not properly or tightly
screwed in.
Fault: The HUGO soda maker does not carbonate the water
Possible cause: The carbon dioxide cylinder is empty. Ex -
change it for a full cylinder.
