VOX function
This function permits to send without activating the transmit key: Voices/noises that hit the
microphone thus switch on the transmitter of the radio set.
By briefly pressing the lateral function key
FP1
(with factory setting) the VOX function is activated
(announcement:
Vox ON
). By pressing the key once again, the VOX function is deactivated
(announcement:
Vox OFF
).
Battery power check
Through a long keystroke on the lateral function key
FP1
(with factory setting), the capacity of
the battery is checked.
Depending on the state of charge, the status LED lights green (100% - -65%); light blue (65% -
30%) or dark blue (30% - 10%). At 10% - 5% the status LED flashes dark blue and the announcement

sounds.
Channel scan
The automatic channel scan permits to find active channels quickly. It scans independently all
channels and stops as soon as a signal exceeds the squelch threshold.
By briefly pressing the lateral function key
FP2
(with factory setting), the channel scan is started.
The status
LED flashes blue. If a signal is received, the status LED lights up green (analog channel)
respectively dark blue (digital channel). The radio set remains adjusted to the corresponding
channel until the signal finishes. Afterwards, the scan starts again, the status LED flashes blue
again.
For switching off the channel scan, press the lateral function key
FP2
once again.
Monitor
Through a long keystroke on the lateral function key
FP2
(with factory setting), the squelch is
permanently open (during free radio communication). By pressing the key once again, the squelch
is closed again.
By pressing the key when the pilot tone process (CTCSS/DCS) is activated, the receiver muting
is deactivated. Pressing the key once again leads to a new activation of the receiver muting.
