Preparations for use
Before you first use the radio device, you must first insert the 5 batteries
and charge them.
Warning!
Never use the DC power supply unit or DC adapter to charge a
Li-ion battery in a smartphone, tablet or other electronic device!
Otherwise there is a risk of damage to the device or the battery,
and in the worst case there is a risk of fire and explosion!
Safety instructions for charging the batteries
You must only use the power supply unit or the 12 V DC adapter
provided for you in the box to charge the 5 NiMH rechargeable batteries
in the radio device.
Only rechargeable NiMH batteries may be charged.
Charging alkaline batteries can lead to fire or explosion in the worst
case.
Inserting the batteries
To open the battery cover, slide the latch up and remove the battery
cover. Insert the 5 NiMH batteries into the battery compartment, making
sure to match the
+
and
-
markings. Slide the cover back onto the
housing again until the latch clicks into place.
Charging the batteries
1. Connect the USB charging
cable to the power
supply unit or cigarette
lighter plug.
2. Plug the power supply
unit into a 230 V socket
or the cigarette lighter
plug into a 13.8 V DC
power source.
