: NEUTRAL

Select this position for normal forward driving on public roads
and highways. At this position, the transmission is automati-
cally shifted from the

st gear through the

th gear accord-

ing to the vehicle speed.

Select this position to stop the vehicle temporarily.

At this position, the engine does not transfer power to the
wheels and the vehicle will not move. However, for safety, apply
the brake while at rest.

: DRIVE

Do not shift into

position while the vehicle is moving. Your auto-

matic transmission could be damaged.

Always depress the brake pedal when the vehicle is stopped on
a slope.

Always depress the brake pedal when shifting into
