5.1. requirements of the setup location
• Place the Raclette4
compact
on a stable surface beyond the reach of children. Make sure the appliance stands level
on all four rubber feet and the heating coil is located at the top.
• Do not place the Raclette4
compact
near or on hot surfaces (heaters, hot plates, or other heat sources). Danger of
fire or short circuit!
• Place the Raclette4
compact
only on heat-resistant surfaces. Keep a safe distance from flammable materials such
as napkins, tablecloths, hanging cabinets, etc.
• Ensure that the power cord, and/or any extension cord
• Does not cross over hot surfaces such as the stove
• Does not pass over sharp edges
• Is not kinked or bent.
Otherwise there is a risk of fire, electric shock, or short circuit.
• Also ensure that the power cord and/or any extension cord used does not hang down from the table or counter
so that no one can trip over it and cause the appliance to be pulled down.
5.2. before the first use
• Please read the instructions and safety guidelines carefully before using.
• Remove all packing material, make sure that all parts as in Chapter 8 “Scope of Delivery” are present and in proper
condition.
• Clean the aluminium grill, the pans, and the scrapers before the first use with a non-abrasive sponge under warm
water and some dish soap.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless
they are older than 8 and supervised.
6.1. starting up/operation
1. Use a washable, heat-resistant surface because spattering may occur.
2. important: Please ensure that the power cord and raclette pans do not touch the heat coil!
3. Plug the power cord into a suitable socket according to Chapter 14 “Technical Specifications”. The Raclette4
compact
is now ready to use.
4. The grill with its recesses must be placed above the heating coil and fully seated on the cross braces found on
the side.
5. Switch on the device. The indicator light now illuminates.
6. After a few minutes of preheating, the grill is ready to use.
7. Brush the grill (if needed, the pans as well) lightly with oil, butter, etc.
