OPERATIONS
Each transmitter is calibrated in factory and has on the nameplate the configuration data. If not
differently stated in the purchase order the transmitter is configured as follow:
Upper Range Value
(Heavier liquid Density): refer to the data sheet of unit
Lower Range Value
(Lighter liquid Density)
:
refer to the data sheet of unit
Min Span Value is 0.1 Kg/l
LCD shows measure in%, mm, cm, m, inches or Kg/l
Damping
0 sec
.
According to the configuration parameter set by the customer three types of measurement are
available:
4.1
M
EASURE
O
F
L
EVEL
It will be measured the Level of the process liquid referred to the mounted displacer.
To obtain the measurement of the level of the liquid contained in the tank:
PV
unit should be selected on m, mm, cm, inches or %
LRV
: it is referred to the level value which gives 4mA output current
URV
: it is referred to the level value which gives 20mA output current
PV
will be the measurement of the level of the fluid on the displacer in % of the displacer
length or in engineering units showing the level on the displacer (mm, cm, m or inch).

ANDATORY
!
To have this measurement available the displacer must be completely immersed in
the process fluid.
In order to get interface measure, LIGHTER_DENSITY should be set to its correct value (for
density measures it is set to 0) and it must be lower than heavier density at least of 0.1 Kg/l.
The difference of density must follow the following formula:
ρ
UP
-
ρ
DOWN
≈ 0.1 ÷ 1.42 Kg/l
The PV will be the measurement of the position of the interface on the displacer in % of the
displacer length or in engineering units showing the level on the displacer (mm, cm, m or inch)

D
ENSITY
It will be measured the density of the fluid contained in the tank.
M
ANDATORY
!
To have this measurement available the displacer must be completely immersed in
the process fluid. Must be selected kg/l unit measure for density measures.
LRV
must be set to the minimum density of the process liquid.
URV
must be set to the maximum density of the process liquid.
PV
will be the measurement of the density of the process fluid in % of the calibrated range
or directly the measurement of the density in Kg/l.
