• Once used always turn the appliance off by moving the power switch to the "OFF" position
disconnecting the plug from the power socket.
Leave the dried food to cool and then place it in hermetically sealed containers.
• IMPORTANT: For the correct use of the appliance it is recommended to use the supplied trays
every time the appliance is used, even if some of them remain unused.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
DANGER:
Before performing any cleaning operation ensure that
the power switch is in the "OFF" position, that the power lead is disconnected from the power
socket and that the appliance has completely cooled down.
NEVER immerse the motor base/body in water. Wash it with a damp cloth and non-abrasive
detergents.
Wash the trays and the cover of the appliance in tepid water and soap.
Do not use metal brushes or abrasives to clean the appliance, in that doing so could damage the
surface.
Correctly cleaning the appliance will assure its constant optimal operation. It is recommended to
clean the product after each use in order to avoid the formation of stubborn residues.
WARNING: To avoid electric shock do not immerse the motor base/body, the power lead or plug
in water. Avoid using abrasive pads or steel wool. Thoroughly dry all parts after cleaning, before
using the appliance or before storing it away. Make sure that water or other liquids never
penetrate the motor body.
WARNING: Before reconnecting the product to the power socket, or before starting to use it,
make sure that all of its parts and its surfaces are completely dry.
FOOD PREPARATION
IMPORTANT: The food must be completely dry before beginning the process of dehydration.
- Always wash the food before putting it in the dryer. Do not place wet or moist food onto the
trays. Remove non-good parts of the food before placing it in the product.
- Cut the food into slices or pieces that they rest on the trays making sure they do not touch the
tray positioned above. The result after dehydration will be different depending on the size and
thickness in which the food has been prepared.
- Check the dehydration condition of the food on the various trays. If the food on the upper
trays has undergone slower dehydration than the food on the lower trays, reposition the trays
and change them around in order to achieve a uniform result. It is natural for the food placed on
the upper trays to be subject to slower dehydration.
- Some types of fruit or vegetables with tenacious peel can be boiled for about 1-2 minutes in
hot water and then allowed to cool in cold water to soften the outer part.
- The duration of the dehydration process can depend on many factors: temperature, humidity
of the room, the size of the food, thickness and maturation of the same.
