Chapter 2. Installing NAStape

Connecting the NAStape

Follow these instructions to connect the NAStape unit.

Plug in the power cord.

Turn on the NAStape unit.

Note:

The NAStape will make a high-pitched noise upon start up. This is
normal behavior for the low-voltage sensor in the unit.

There are two interfaces available to configure and set up your options: HTTP and
serial port. Select the appropriate method based on your environment.

DHCP Environment

To use the HTTP configuration application, proceed to

Chapter 3.

Using the HTTP Interface

Static IP Environment

To use the serial port interface, or if you’re unable to use the

HTTP interface, proceed to
