8 Maintenance
 The submersible pumps are generally maintenance-free.
NOTICE
Only carry work out on the pump with the power switched off.
When? What?
Regularly  Clean outlet pipe.
 Check power cable.

Clean strainer basket and impeller.
 Replace condenser.
Contact customer services if the power cable is faulty.
When operating the pump in dirty or aggressive media, we advise
rinsing the pump in clean water immediately following use. Dried
on dirt sediments can lead to the pump becoming blocked or
worn.
WARNING
Risk of severing fingers or limbs due to reaching into the suction
opening during operation of the pump (TOP 90-300).
 Only carry out work on the pump when it is not in operation
and when wearing protective gloves.

8.1 Clean the strainer basket and impeller (TOP 71-80)
 Should the strainer basket become blocked, this must be
cleaned.
1. Disconnect the pump from the power supply and take it out of
the water.
2. Remove the strainer basket (143).
3. Clean the strainer basket (143) and impeller (230).
4. Reassemble the parts.

8.2 Clean the impeller (TOP 90-300)
 Should the suction opening be blocked, it must be cleaned.
When doing so please wear safety gloves.
1. Disconnect the pump from the power supply and remove it
from the water.
