6.1 Start-up
NOTICE
The pump/unit can be damaged if it runs dry!
 Ensure that the pump/unit is always full of water. This also
applies to checking the rotation direction.
 The pump should only be operated in a submerged state in
order to avoid the motor overheating.

Minimum 2/3 of the pump should be flooded in order to
discharge the heat from the motor. Exception: short-term
drainage.
 The pump must not deliver against a closed shut-off valve as
this will cause the pumped media to heat up.

6.2 Switching the pump on
NOTICE
Operating the pump against a closed valve in the pressure line
over a longer period of time can lead to damage due to
overheating.
 Start the pump two or three times in order to check the
condition of the unit.
 Ensure that the noise, vibration, pressure values and
electrical voltage are normal.

6.2.1 Design with float switch
1. Insert the plug. The pump will turn itself on.
2. When the minimum water level has been reached, the pump
automatically turns itself off. This is controlled by the float
switch.
3. The operating position of the float switch is set in the factory
so that a minimum water level is guaranteed when in the
OFF position.
