6.2

Before starting the pump, make sure the shut-off valve on the pressure side is
half closed! Only after reaching full speed, slowly open the shut-off valve and
adjust it to the operation point.

6.3

Make sure pump and motor turn freely, especially after extended periods of
downtime. To do this put a screwdriver into the slot at the fan end and turn it by
hand in the direction of rotation. If necessary remove the fan cover and turn the
fan by hand. After re-starting make sure the mechanical seal doesnʼt leak.

6.4

Never operate the pump without the strainer basket (143), otherwise the pump
may get clogged and blocked.

6.5

When starting a pump with three-phase current motor for the first time, make
sure the motor turns in the direction of the affixed arrow (anticlockwise, seen
from the fan). If the motor rotates in the wrong direction, two phases must be
switched (by a licensed electrician only!). If the direction of rotation is wrong,
the pump is noisier and primes less.

6.6

Please make sure that the installed shut-off valves in the suction and pressure
lines are completely open. The pump must never run with shut-off valves clo-
sed!

7.

Maintenance / Repair

The strainer basket (143) must be periodically emptied. A full or dirty strainer
will impair the pumpʼs flow rate and the filtration.
