Setup and connection
Switch off all the device you intend to connect and disconnect their power plugs from
the mains socket.
Remember when choosing a cable that different HDMI cable types are available. If
in doubt, ask a professional.
The product supports 3D and 4K playback.
You will need a playback device and an output device that supports 4K x 2K or 3D
standards.
Use high-speed HDMI cables for playback of a 3D signal with a bandwidth >225 MHz
or a resolution of 4K x 2K.
• Place the device on a stable, level surface. Protect the surfaces of valuable furniture by using
an appropriate underlay to avoid scratches and pressure marks.
• The delivery includes 4 rubber feet. Glue them as required to the underside of the device
housing (one rubber foot on each corner).
• Connect HDMI IN (1), with a suitable HDMI-capable cable to the HDMI output of a playback
device; for example, a Blu-ray player, a game console, etc.
• Connect your TV or monitor to HDMI Out (8).
The audio signal is output from the audio outputs, even if HDMI Out (8) is not used.
• Connect your sound system to the corresponding audio output. There are two different audio
outputs available:
Optical port (7) (optical digital output)
Please note that only a stereo signal („LPCM 2CH“) or maximum a 5.1 audio signal can be
output.
If a 7.1 audio signal is delivered to the audio extractor by a Blu-ray player, such signal, as a
matter of principle, cannot be reproduced through the optical output!

Intended use
The product is used to extract an audio signal from an HDMI signal. The audio signal can be
output as either analogue (via 3.5 mm jack 2 channel stereo) or digital/optical (via a TOSLINK
jack, max. 5.1 audio signal).
The power must be supplied only via a USB port or via a power supply unit with USB connec-
tion.
The product may only be used in enclosed indoor locations; no outdoor use is permitted. Do not
expose to moisture, under any circumstances.
For safety and approval reasons, you may not convert and/or alter the product in any way. If
you use the product for other purposes than those described above, the product may be dam-
aged. Furthermore, improper use may cause hazards such as short-circuits, fire, etc. Please
read the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. Please include these operat-
ing instructions when you pass the product on to a third party.
