Operation
• If necessary, attach the rubber feet included to the base of the product.
• Ensure that you refer to the operating instructions of the devices that you are going to connect. Turn off all
devices and remove their mains plugs from the mains socket.
•
Connect the
VGA IN
VGA socket (7) to the VGA video output, e.g. a PC graphics card or a laptop. Use the
VGA cable of a computer monitor to establish the connection (VGA cable not included with the product).
• If the audio playback of the computer takes place via HDMI, connect the
Audio IN
input (5) to the audio
output (line level) on your computer. Use a cable with 3.5 mm stereo jack plugs.
Use the audio adapter included if you are using an RCA cable to transmit the audio signal.
• When needed, connect an input device with a TOSLINK connector to the
SPDIF IN
audio input (6).
• Connect an HDMI cable to the
HDMI OUT
socket (3) on the converter and the HDMI input on your
playback device (e.g. monitor or TV).
•
Connect the converter to a USB port (e.g. on your computer), a USB power supply or a USB hub using
the Micro USB cable included. The
POWER
LED (2) turns red when the converter is supplied with power.
• Due to the current consumption of the converter, a USB port that can deliver a current of 500 mA must be
used (e.g. a USB port directly on your computer or the USB port on a USB hub with its own power supply).
•
Switch on your computer. Turn on your playback device (e.g. monitor or TV) and select the appropriate
input.
• Turn on your loudspeakers and/or audio amplifier. Select the input signal (R/L or S/PDIF) with the
SWITCHER
(4) on the converter.

• The device does not require maintenance except for occasional cleaning. Remove the product from the
power supply and the connected devices before cleaning.
• A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning. Do not use any aggressive detergents as these can
