Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any resulting dam-
age.

The exclamation mark symbol indicates that important information is included
in these operating instructions.
The arrow symbol indicates tips and notes.
• A TV ceiling bracket is not a toy. Keep the device out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous play-
thing for children.
• Selecting an unsuitable installation location can lead to personal or material damage.
• Proceed with care when assembling and installing the product. The product may have sharp
edges. There is a risk of injury!
• Carry out only the work on the TV ceiling bracket that is necessary in order to install it (or to
adjust it). Never perform any conversion or repair work.
• Before beginning the installation process, check whether there is an appropriate mounting
option for a TV ceiling bracket on the back of your TV set.
• Depending on the size and design of the TV set and TV ceiling bracket concerned, it is sensi-
ble for a second person to help with the installation. This person can hold the TV set still, for
example, while you are attaching the TV set to the ceiling bracket.
• Apply your full concentration when carrying out the installation, because if the TV set and/or
TV ceiling bracket were to fall, this could not only cause expensive damage to the equipment
but also increase the danger of personal injury!
• Lay all the TV set’s cables in such a way that they do not get jammed or kinked in the ceiling
bracket.
• Check all the screw
fi
ttings from time to time. Adjusting the position of the TV set and/or the
ceiling bracket and moving them can sometimes cause the screws to become loose over time.
• Do not apply force when moving/adjusting the TV set or the TV ceiling bracket. The TV set
may get damaged from it.
• When moving/adjusting, do not press on the TV set’s screen.
• Do not overload the TV ceiling bracket. Pay attention to the details provided by the manufac-
turer for the maximum TV set weight and/or its size.
• Do not use the TV ceiling bracket to support yourself or to hold onto.
• Do not attach any objects to the TV ceiling bracket other than the TV set for which it was
intended.
• In case of doubt, do not perform the installation yourself. Have an expert carry out the instal-
lation.
Installation
Ceiling-mounting is permissible only if the condition of the mounting surface
concerned is suitable for the purpose. Thin lightweight ceilings or those made
from gypsum boards with unstable substructures are normally unsuitable.
However, specialist retailers do sometimes stock special dowel
fi
ttings for
such installation locations. If you are in doubt, ask a specialist before installa-
tion.
Depending on the base material (e.g. concrete), suitable mounting materials
must be used (screws, dowels, etc.). The dowel screws enclosed are only suit-
able for solid ceilings. Special dowels and screws are not normally supplied
with the TV ceiling bracket and must be bought separately, depending on the
characteristics of the mounting surface.
Due to the weight of the TV set, TV ceiling bracket and the lever action in-
volved, ensure that the screws are
fi
xed securely.
Plan the installation location carefully, so that the TV ceiling bracket with the
TV set
fi
xed to it will be situated at the correct location when you have
fi
nished
the installation.
Pay attention when drilling and tightening the screws that no cable or pipes un-
der the mounting surface are damaged. Inadvertently drilling through electric
cables causes the life-threatening danger of an electric shock!
Pay special attention to your safety when using electric tools (e.g. a drill). You
should also heed the safety instructions in the corresponding instructions.
Make sure no persons are in the area under the TV ceiling bracket and/or the
TV set during the installation.
For this purpose, please observe the pictures in the mounting instructions enclosed.
Preparation of the TV set
• It is usually necessary to remove the TV set’s existing base before mounting it on a ceiling
bracket. Observe the operating instructions for your TV set.
• Put the TV set
fl
at on a soft and clean underlay, the display side facing downwards. Do not
apply pressure on the display. Protect valuable furniture surfaces during installation by using
a suitable pad or cloth.
• Remove the existing base. Depending on the TV set, this base is either screwed tight or
clipped on.
Fig. 1:
• Loosen the two screws shown in the diagram with the provided Allen key (B).
• Remove the base plate from the arm of the ceiling bracket.
Fig. 2:
• Open the arm of the ceiling bracket by pressing the mounting plate against the arm and then
fully extending the arm.
Fig. 3a (Mounting on cavity ceiling constructions):
• Select the position and the height of the ceiling bracket at the mounting location.
Make sure to mount the ceiling bracket the right way round. The extended arm of the
ceiling bracket must point toward the back of the TV set.
• Align the mounting plate as desired.
• Mark the necessary drilling holes at the mounting site. To this end, use the ceiling bracket as
a template.
• Drill the required holes.
• Screw the two screws for the drop-shaped holes in the mounting plate (W-A or screws from
the dealer that are suitable for the mounting surface) into the ceiling and let them stand out
approx. 4 mm.
• Place the ceiling bracket with the drop-shaped holes on the two screw heads and slide it until
the screws lie in the narrower part of the hole.
• Put the two remaining screws with the washers (W-C) in place and screw the ceiling bracket
into place with all four screws.
The dowels enclosed (W-B) are not used for this mounting type.
