Troubleshooting
No audio signal available
• If the sliding switch (4) is in switch position “B”, the device connected to the HDMI out-
put “HDMI OUT” (8) must support the audio format set at the playback device (e.g. Blu-ray
player).
If necessary, select a different audio format at the playback device (e.g. in the menu of the
Blu-ray player and in the audio settings of the Blu-ray disc).
• Move the sliding switch (4) into position “A” and test the audio playback again.
• If the amplifier is connected to the stereo analogue output (stereo socket 3.5 mm), select
position “A” with the sliding switch (4).
• The audio extractor cannot convert the audio formats Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1 or ACC into a
stereo analogue signal. Select a 2-channel audio format (PCM 2CH) at the playback device.
• Check whether the correct input on your amplifier is activated and whether all cables are
correctly connected.
• Check whether the mute button on one of the connected devices may have been pressed.
• Is the audio extractor supplied with power? There is no signal at any of the outputs, if the
power LED of the audio extractor is not illuminated.
Handling
• Use is permitted only in dry indoor locations. The product must not get damp or wet! There is
a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Never use the product immediately after moving it from a cold room into a warm one. The
condensation that forms might damage the product. The power adapter also poses a risk for
a potentially fatal electric shock!
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power supply and
putting it to use. This may take several hours.
• Any maintenance or repair work may only be performed by an authorised repair shop.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cables are neither kinked nor pinched.
• Avoid the following adverse conditions at the installation location and during transport:
- Dampness or excessive humidity
- Extreme cold or heat, direct sunlight
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations, impacts or blows
- Strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loudspeakers
Maintenance and cleaning
• The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for any
reason. Any maintenance or repair work may be performed only by an expert.
• Before you clean the product, disconnect it from the mains voltage. Pull the power adapter
from the mains socket.
• The outside of the product should only be cleaned with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the
housing (discolouring) or impair operation.
• Dust can easily be removed using a clean, long-bristle brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic devices must not be discarded with domestic waste!
Please dispose of the product at the end of its service life according to the current
