direction, look behind you or
utilize your mirrors when backing
up. Verify that your back alarm is
working properly to warn others
when you are in reverse.
3.
Before beginning your forward
motion with the attachment near
a hay bale, stop the skid steer and
make any final adjustments to the
frame in terms of height and tilt.
4.
Look ahead to see if there are any
low spots that the attachment
might transport over and make
any necessary corrections to
speed and angle. If a ditch or
furrow must be crossed, activate
the grapple to secure the bales
and lift the attachment off the
ground. Return the attachment to
the ground and release the
grapples from holding the bales
before continuing.
5.
You will find that your bale
retrieval results will improve
when you learn how to correctly
aim and line up the next target
bale. Practice makes perfect!
6.
As your hay accumulator’s
capacity is ten bales, plan your
retrieval route 10 bales away
from your unloading point or
trailer placement. Drive to that
point and turn the prime mover
towards the unloading point. With
the attachment level to the
ground and an inch above the
ground, line up the short end of
the bale with one of the empty
bale slots and slow proceed
forward until the bale has
bottomed out at the rear of the
attachment.

7.
After eight (8) bales have been
loaded into the attachment, the
last two bales need to be
positioned and loaded 90° from
the first eight. Align the 9
th
bail
along the long end and drive the
attachment so that bale fits into
either the right or left side. After
collecting the ninth bale, position
the machine to the bale on the
remaining empty side of the
accumulator.

8.
When the tenth (10
th
) bale has
been loaded into the attachment,
stop the forward progress of the
prime mover, lower the
attachment completely down on
top of the bales and activate the
grapple arms to capture the bales.
9.
Lift the attachment 8” (200mm)
off the ground and carefully
transport the 10 bales to the
unloading point.
10. If loading bales on a trailer, raise
the attachment to clear the
height of the trailer and center
bales over the trailer. Lower the
attachment onto the trailer bed
and activate the grapple tines to
release the bales. Raise the
attachment straight up until the
bales are cleared and back the
prime mover away from the
trailer.
