• Check belt tensioning by measuring belt tightness. Correct tightness results when
belt deflection along the front side of the belt is 1 cm, as a result of the pressure
applied with the index finger to the centre of the belt length (see fig. 1).
In case a belt adjustment is needed, proceed as follows (see fig. 2):
- Remove the belt cover.
- Loosen the two side bolts supporting the gearbox “a”.
- Loosen the 4 upper bolts supporting the gearbox “b”.
- Rotate the 4 lower bolts supporting the gearbox “c” counterclockwise, so as to
raise the support and as a consequence the gearbox until the correct tensioning
of the belts has been reached.
- Make sure that the maximum flexibility of each belt is not over 1 cm when tested
with one’s finger.
- Tighten bolts “a” and “b”.
