Version 0
The synchronization wiring is shown in Figure 26 for two (2) MicroWave 330 links and two (2) Model 380
transceivers.
The Phase 0 or Phase 1 setting is configured in the UIST II software program
. The synchronization
line must use a 22 or 24 gauge twisted, stranded, shielded pair wire. The last unit in the synchronization chain
must be terminated with a 120 ohm resistor. For setting the Model 380 or Model 358 in a synchronized mode,
please refer to their respective technical manuals.
Note: all other wiring has been omitted for clarity
.

6.5 Remote Test
MicroWave 330 is equipped with a remote test circuit located on the transmitter. When a voltage, greater than 5
VDC and less than 14 VDC, is applied to the “Test” terminal, the K-band oscillator will turn off as long as the
voltage is applied. This loss of signal will cause the receiver to go into an alarm condition. This feature will
work in the free running or tethered configuration.
In the tethered configuration, a “test” can be initiated by sending a command over the communications line
using the UIST II. The UIST II has a “Remote Test” button which may be activated to exercise this function in
the tethered mode. The receiver will process the command and turn off the modulated signal to the tether for a
minimum of five (5) seconds causing an alarm at the receiver. The remote test state is stored in volatile memory
so that on power-up the remote test feature is inactive.
