INSTALLING THE EYE BOLT WRAP
•
Place the bracket strap (the piece without the shackle) on top of the cross beam at a safe distance from the end
post. (Put the side with the shock pad against the cross beam).
•
Put one flat washer on each of the hex head bolts, then put them through the holes in the hanger strap (the piece
with the eye bolt), going through from the shackle side.
•
Put the bolts up through the holes in the bracket strap. Place a flat washer, a lock washer, and a non
-
locking nut
on each of the bolts. Tighten finger tight evenly.
•
Tighten the bolts by holding the head of the bolt with one 3/4” wrench while using the other wrench to tighten the
Nylon locking nut. Alternate from one nut to the other, tightening them both evenly.
•
When both bolts are tightened securely, put a self
-
locking nut on each bolt and tighten it down firmly against the
Nylon locking nut.
HEIGHT ADJUSTER OR SAFETY ROTATIONAL DEVICE NEEDED
A Southpaw Height Adjuster (# 5000) may be needed to adjust your equipment to the correct height for your client.
With all Southpaw suspended equipment, a Safety Rotational Device must be used to prevent damage to your
equipment.
MATTING PRECAUTIONS:
Always use appropriate matting.
MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST
All of the following wear points should be checked on a monthly basis and recorded on the checklist enclosed.
•
Check to make sure that all nuts and bolts are tight. If loose, discontinue use immediately until tightened.
•
Check to make sure that the eye bolt turns smoothly. If the eye bolt makes a noise while spinning, lubricate with
a grease gun at the grease fitting above the eye bolt. Add grease slowly until grease starts to appear where the
eye bolt turns in the bracket.
