5. SETTING UP

Place ZEPHIRO 1000ST HAZE on a flat surface and in a large area of at least 50 m²
of open space around the machine.
f
Keep it in horizontal position, do not tilt or flip. Before connecting this unit to
mains, fill in the tank with fluid. Always use water-based, non-toxic haze liquid
(check www.soundsationmusic.com for further information) and check that Haze
Output Deflector is clean and unobstructed.

Before connecting to power, check whether mains voltage is suitable for the unit or
not.
f
The supplied power cable should be plugged into a grounded electrical outlet.
Once connected, the haze machine start heating and the LCD screen will show
“warming” message to indicate that the device is in preparation to be used. This
process can take up to 1,5 minutes.

When the device is ready, the LCD screen will show “Ready Haze” message, and
after that it is possible to start making haze manually by holding down the “MAN-
UAL” button on the control panel.

To turn OFF the machine, unplug the unit from its power source
6. MAINS CONNECTIONS
Please note that power voltage and frequency are the same as the marked voltage and
frequency of device when connecting power.
Wire correspondence is as follow:
Cable (EU) Pin International
Brown Live L
Blue Neutral N
Yellow/Green Earth
The earth must to be connected! Pay attention to safety! Before taking into
operation for the first time, the installation has to be approved by an expert.
7. DMX CONNECTION
DMX fixtures are designed to receive data through a serial Daisy Chain. A Daisy Chain
connection is where the DATA OUT of one fixture connects to the DATA IN of the next
fixture. The order in which the fixtures are connected is not important and has no effect
on how a controller communicates to each fixture. Use an order that provides for the
easiest and most direct cabling.
