PTY ( Pr ogr am Type )
This radio will allow you t o select the t ype of program required, and will search for a stat ion broadcast ing that
t ype of pr ogr am .
Press PTY but t on t o show t he m usic t ype. Then press 1 - 6 num ber but t ons to choose different m usic
program s available. Press PTY butt on t wice t o show t he speech t ype program . Then press 1 - 6 num ber
but t ons t o choose different speech program s. Each num ber but t on will show 3 different speech program s for
you t o choose.
When PTY is selected, t he radio st arts t o search corresponding PTY inform at ion, and st ops if t he
corresponding PTY inform at ion is det ect ed. I f no but t ons are pressed wit hin several seconds, previously
selected PTY is searched. During 1 loop, if desired PTY is not found, t he unit will ret urn t o previous m ode.
