Precauciones

Elija cuidadosamente el lugar de montaje de f orma 
que la unidad no interfiera con las funciones 
normales de c onducción.
Evite instalar la unidad donde pueda quedar 
sometida a polvo , suciedad, vibraciones  excesivas o 
altas temperaturas como, por ejemplo, a la luz solar 
directa o cerca de conductos de calefacción.
Para realizar una instalación segura y firme , utilice 
solamente los c omponentes de montaje 
suministrados.
Para poder mover el panel frontal sin problemas,  
insertar o expulsar un disco fácilmente y, en 
especial, para garantizar una conducción segura, es 
necesario dejar una distancia adecuada entr e el 
panel frontal y la palanca de cambio. La distancia 
necesaria varía en función de la posición de la 
palanca de cambios del vehículo. Antes de instalar la 
unidad, seleccione cuidadosamente una ubic ación 
de instalación para asegur arse de que puede 
conducir con seguridad.

Ajuste del ángulo de montaje

Ajuste el ángulo de montaje a menos de 45°.

Conexión del cable del freno de 
mano

Asegúrese de c onectar el cable del freno de mano (de 
color verde claro) del cable de suministro de 
alimentación 

 al cable del interruptor del freno de 

mano .

Instalación del micrófono  

Para capturar su voz durante las llamadas c on manos 
libres, es necesario instalar el micrófono 

.

Precauciones

Mantenga el micrófono alejado de lugares con 
humedad y temper aturas muy altas.
Que el cable se enrolle alrededor de la columna de 
dirección o de la palanca de cambios es 
extremadamente peligr oso. Asegúrese de impedir 
que el cable y otros componentes obstruy an la 
conducción.
Si el vehículo dispone de airbags u otros dispositivos 
de amortiguación de impactos,  póngase en c ontacto 
con el establecimiento donde ha adquirido esta 
unidad o con el concesionario de automóviles antes 
de llevar a cabo la instalación.

Forma de e xtraer e instalar el 
panel frontal  

Antes de instalar la unidad, extraiga el panel 
frontal.

-A  Para extraerlo

Antes de desc onectar el panel frontal, mantenga 
pulsado OFF durante más de 2 segundos par a apagar 
la unidad. Pulse 

. Después,  sujete el panel frontal 

por el lado izquierdo y ábralo hacia la derecha.

Sugerencia

Si también levanta ligeramente el lado izquierdo del panel frontal 

,

la extracción es más sencilla.

-B   Para instalarlo

Coloque los orificios 

 del panel frontal en los 

salientes 

 de la unidad y, a continuación, realice una 

ligera presión en el lado izquierdo para insertar el 
panel.

Extracción del soporte  

Antes de instalar la unidad, extraiga el soporte 
de la unidad.
Guarde las llaves de liberación 

 para utilizarlas en 

el futuro, ya que también son nec esarias para 
extraer la unidad del vehículo.

Precaución

Tenga mucho cuidado al manipular el soporte  

 para 

evitar posibles lesiones en los dedos.

Inserte las llaves de liberación 

 en los 

enganches entre la unidad y el soporte

japonés

Es posible que pueda instalar esta unidad en algunos 
vehículos de marcas japonesas sin nec esidad de 
utilizar el soporte suministrado. En caso de que no 
pueda, póngase en c ontacto con el distribuidor de 
Sony.

Para montar esta unidad en los soportes pr einstalados 
del vehículo, utilice los tornillos 

 suministrados en 

los orificios para tornillos correspondientes en función 
de su automóvil:  T corresponde a  TOYOTA, M a 
MITSUBISHI y N a NISSAN.

Notas

Para evitar fallos de funcionamiento, realice la instalación 
únicamente con los tornillos suministrados 

.

No ejerza presión excesiva sobre los botones de la unidad.
No ejerza presión sobre la pantalla de cristal líquido.
Antes de ef ectuar el montaje, asegúrese de que no hay a ningún 
objeto en la parte superior de la unidad.

Advertencia: si el encendido del 
vehículo no dispone de una 
posición ACC

Configure la función Auto DESACTIVAR. Para obtener 
información, consulte el “Manual de instrucciones” 
suministrado.
La unidad se apagar á del todo automáticamente en el 
tiempo establecido si no hay ninguna fuente 
seleccionada, lo que evita que se desgaste la batería.
Si no ha ajustado la función Auto DESACTIVAR, 
mantenga pulsado OFF c ada vez que apague el 
interruptor de encendido, hasta que la pantalla 
desapa rezca.

Botón de reinicio  

Una vez finalizadas la instalación y las c onexiones, 
asegúrese de pr esionar el botón de reinicio (situado 
detrás del panel frontal) con un bolígrafo, etc.

Sustitución del fusible

Al sustituir el fusible, asegúrese de utilizar uno cuyo 
amperaje coincida con el especificado en el original. Si 
el fusible se funde , verifique la conexión de 
alimentación y sustitúyalo. Si el fusible vuelve a 
fundirse después de sustituirlo, es posible que e xista 
algún fallo de funcionamiento interno. En tal caso , 
consulte con el distribuidor Sony más cercano.

Diagrama de c onexión de la 
alimentación  

El conector de alimentación auxiliar puede variar 
según el vehículo. Consulte el diagrama de c onexión 
de la alimentación auxiliar del vehículo para 
asegurarse de que r ealiza las conexiones 
correctamente. Hay tres tipos básicos de diagramas 
(

-A, 

-B,  

-C). Es posible que deba intercambiar 

las posiciones de los c ables rojo y amarillo del cable 
de suministro de alimentación de la unidad

Precautions

Choose the installation location carefully so that the 
unit will not inter fere with normal driving operations.
Avoid installing the unit in areas subject to dust, dirt, 
excessive vibration, or high temperature, such as in 
direct sunlight or near heater ducts.
Use only the supplied mounting hardware for a saf e 
and secure installation.
To move the front panel smoothly, to insert/eject a 
disc easily, and especially to drive safely, keep an 
adequate distance between the front panel and the 
shift lever. The necessar y distance differs, depending 
on the shift lever position of your car. Before 
installing the unit, choose the installation location 
carefully so that you can drive safely.

Mounting angle adjustment

Adjust the mounting angle to less than 45°.

Connecting the parking brake 
lead  

Be sure to connect the parking brake lead (light green) 
of the power supply connection cable 

 to the 

parking brake switch cord.

Installing the microphone  

To capture your voice during handsfree calling, you 
need to install the microphone 

.

Cautions

Keep the microphone aw ay from extremely high 
temperatures and humidity.
It is extremely danger ous if the cord becomes 
wound around the steering column or gearstick. Be 
sure to keep it and other parts from obstructing your 
driving.
If airbags or any other shock-absorbing equipment 
is in your car, contact the store where you purchased 
this unit, or the car deale r, before installation.

Notes

Before attaching the double-sided tape

dashboard with a dry cloth.
Adjust the microphone angle to the proper position.

How to detach and attach the 
front panel  

Before installing the unit, detach the front panel.

-A  To detach

Before detaching the front panel, press and hold OFF 
for more than 2 seconds to turn off the unit. Press 

,

and then hold the left side of the front panel and pull 
it open to the right.

Tip

If you also lift the left side of the front panel slightly 

, the front 

panel comes out easily.

-B   To attach

Place the recesses 

 of the front panel onto the pegs 

 on the unit, then lightly push the left side in.

Removing the bracket  

Before installing the unit, remove the bracket 
from the unit. 
Keep the release keys 

 for future use as they are 

also necessary if you remove the unit from your  car.

Caution

Handle the bracket 

 carefully to avoid injuring your 

fingers.

Insert the release keys 

 into the catches 

between the unit and the bracket 

 at the same 

time until they click.

Pull down the bracket 

, then pull up the unit to 

separate them.

Mounting the unit

-A  Mounting the unit with the supplied 

bracket

Before installing, make sure that the catches on 
both sides of the bracket 

 are bent inwa rds 3.5 

mm.

Position the supplied bracket 

 inside the 

dashboard.

Bend the claws outw ard for a tight fit.

Mount the unit onto the supplied bracket

Note

If the catches are straight or bent outwards, the unit will not be 
installed securely and may spring out.

-B  Mounting the unit in a Japanese car

You may be able to install this unit in some mak es of 
Japanese cars without the supplied bracket. If you 
cannot, consult your Sony dealer.

When mounting this unit to the preinstalled brackets 
of your car, use the supplied screws 

 in the 

appropriate screw holes, based on your c ar: T for 
TOYOTA, M for MITSUBISHI and N for NISSAN.

Notes

To avoid a malfunction, install only with the supplied screws 

.

Do not apply excessive force to the buttons of the unit.
Do not press on the LCD.
Before mounting, make sure there is nothing on the top of the unit.

Warning if your car’s ignition has 
no ACC position

Be sure to set the Auto OFF function. For details, refer 
to the supplied “Operating Instructions.”
The unit will shut off completely and automatically in 
the set time when no sour ce is selected, which 
prevents battery drainage.
If the Auto OFF function has not been set, press and 
hold OFF until the display disappears each time you 
turn the ignition off.

Reset button  

When the installation and connections are completed, 
be sure to press the reset button, which is located 
behind the front panel, with a ballpoint pen, etc.

Fuse replacement  

When replacing the fuse, be sure to use one matching 
the amperage  rating stated on the original fuse. If the 
fuse blows,  check the power connection and replace 
the fuse. If the fuse blows again after r eplacement, 
there may be an internal malfunction. In such a case , 
consult your nearest Sony dealer.

Power connection diagram   

The auxiliary power connector may vary depending on 
your car. Check your car’s auxiliary power connector 
diagram to mak e sure the connections match 
correctly. There are three basic types  (

-A, 

-B,  

-C). You may need to switch the positions of the  red 

and yellow leads of the unit’s power supply 
connection cable 

. After matching the connections 

and switched power supply leads c orrectly, connect 
the unit to the car’s power supply. If you have any 
questions and problems connecting your unit that are 
not covered in these instructions, please c onsult your 
car dealer.

Precauzioni

Scegliere con attenzione la posizione per 
l’installazione in modo che l’apparecchio non 
interferisca con le operazioni di guida del 
conducente.
Evitare di installare l’apparecchio dove sia soggetto 
ad alte temperature, come alla luce solare diretta o 
al getto di aria calda dell’impianto di riscaldamento, 
o dove pos sa es sere soggetto a polvere, sporcizia e 
vibrazioni eccessive.
Usare solo il materiale di montaggio in dotazione 
per un’installazione stabile e sicura.
Per spostare agevolmente il pannello anteriore, per 
inserire/estr arre facilmente il disco e soprattutto per 
garantire una guida sicura, mantenere una distanza 
adeguata tra il pannello anteriore e la leva del 
cambio. La distanza ne cessaria varia in base alla 
posizione della leva del cambio dell’auto. Prima di 
installare l’apparecchio, scegliere con attenzione la 
posizione per l’installazione in modo che le 
operazioni di guida risultino sicure.

Regolazione dell’angolo di montaggio

Regolare l’angolo di montaggio in modo che sia 
inferiore a 45°.

Collegamento del cavo del freno 
a mano

Assicurarsi di collegare il cavo del freno a mano (ver de 
chiaro) del cavo di collegamento dell’alimentazione 
al cavo di commutazione del fr eno a mano .

Installazione del microfono  

Per catturare la voce durante le chiamate in vivavoce, 
è necessario installare il microfono 

.

Attenzione

Non sottoporre il microfono a temperature ed 
umidità eccessivamente elev ate.
Se il cavo rimane avvolto al piantone di guida o alla 
leva del cambio, possono verificarsi situazioni di 
pericolo. Accertarsi di posizionare il cavo e altre parti 
in modo che non ostruiscano la guida.
Se nell’auto sono presenti air-bag o altri dispositivi 
di assorbimento degli urti, prima dell’installazione 
contattare il negozio in cui è stato acquistato 
l’apparecchio o l’autoconcessionario.

Note

Prima di applicare il nastro biadesivo

, pulire la superficie del 

cruscotto con un panno asciutto.
Regolare l’angolazione del microfono sulla posizione corretta.

Come rimuovere e reinserire il 
pannello anteriore  

Prima di installare l’apparecchio rimuovere il 
pannello anteriore.

-A  Per rimuoverlo

Prima di scollegare il pannello anteriore, tenere 
premuto OFF per più di 2 secondi per spegnere l’unità. 
Premere 

, quindi tenere fermo il lato sinistro del 

pannello anteriore ed estrarlo dal lato destro.

Suggerimento

Sollevando leggermente il lato sinistro del pannello anteriore 

,

l’estrazione risulta più facile.

-B  Per reinserirlo

Posizionare i fori 

 del pannello anteriore sui supporti 

 dell’unità, quindi premere leggermente il lato 

sinistro.

Rimozione della staffa  

Prima di installare l’apparecchio, rimuovere la staffa 

 dall’apparecchio.

Conservare le chiavette di rilascio   per un uso 
futuro in quanto sono necessarie per rimuovere 
l’apparecchio dall’auto.

Attenzione

Maneggiare la staff a 

 con cautela per evitare di 

ferirsi le mani.

Inserire le chiavette di rilascio   nei fermi tra 
l’apparecchio e la staffa 

 contemporaneamente 

fino a che non sc attano in posizione.

Estrarre la staffa 

, quindi sollevare 

l’apparecchio per rimuoverlo.

Montaggio dell’apparecchio  

-A  Montare l’apparecchio utilizzando la 

staffa in dotazione

Prima di installare l’apparecchio, accertarsi di 
ripiegare i fermi presenti su entrambi i lati della 
staffa 

 verso l’interno di 3,5 mm.

Installare la staffa in dotazione 

 nel cruscotto.

Piegare i morsetti verso l’esterno per 
un’applicazione più stabile.

Montare l’apparecchio sulla staffa in dotazione 

.

Nota

Se i fermi sono diritti o ripiegati verso l’esterno, l’apparecchio non 
verrà installato in modo sicuro e potrebbe fuoriuscire.

-B  Montaggio in un’auto giapponese

È possibile installare il presente appar ecchio in alcuni 
tipi di auto giapponesi senza utilizzare la staff a in 
dotazione. In caso contrario, rivolgersi al rivenditore 
Sony autorizzato.

Durante il montaggio del presente appar ecchio sulle 
staff e preinstallate dell’auto, inserire le viti in 
dotazione 

 negli appositi fori, in base al modello 

dell’auto: T per TOYOTA, M per MITSUBISHI e N per 
NISSAN.

Note

Effettuare l’installazione utilizzando esclusivamente le viti in 
dotazione 

, onde evitare problemi di funzionamento.

Non applicare forza e ccessiva sui tasti dell’apparecchio.
Non premere sullo schermo  LCD.
Prima del montaggio, accertarsi che sulla parte superiore 
dell’apparecchio non vi sia alcun oggetto.

Avvertenza relativa 
all’installazione su un’auto 
sprovvista della posizione ACC 
(accessoria) sul blocchetto di 
accensione

Accertarsi di impostare la funzione Spegnimento 
automatico. Per ulteriori informazioni, consultare le 
“Istruzioni per l’uso” in dotazione.
L’apparecchio si spegne completamente e 
automaticamente all’ora impostata quando non è 
selezionata alcuna sorgente, onde evitare che la 
batteria si scarichi.
Se la funzione Spegnimento automatic o non è stata 
impostata, ogni volta che il motore viene spento 
tenere premuto OFF finché il display non viene 
disattivato.

Tasto di azzeramento  

Una volta completate le procedure di installazione e i 
collegamenti, accertarsi di premere il tasto di 
azzeramento, situato dietro il pannello anteriore, con 
una penna a sf era o un oggetto simile.

Sostituzione del fusibile

Per la sostituzione del fusibile, assicurarsi di utilizzare 
un fusibile dello stesso amper aggio di quello indicato 
sull’originale. Se il fusibile si brucia, controllare i 
collegamenti dell’alimentazione e sostituire il fusibile. 
Se dopo la sostituzione il fusibile si brucia di nuovo, è 
possibile che si tratti di un problema interno. In tal 
caso , rivolgersi al più vicino rivenditore Sony.

Diagramma dei c ollegamenti di 
alimentazione  

Il connettore di alimentazione ausiliaria può variare a 
seconda della mac china. Controllare il diagramma del 
connettore di alimentazione ausiliaria dell’auto per 
assicurarsi che i collegamenti corrispondano 
correttamente. Vi sono tre tipi di base (

-A, 

-B,  

-C). Potrebbe es sere necessario cambiare le 

posizioni dei fili rosso e giallo del cavo di 
collegamento dell’alimentazione dell’apparecchio 

.

Dopo aver fatto corrispondere i collegamenti e aver 
commutato correttamente i cavi di alimentazione, 
collegare l’apparecchio all’alimentazione della 
macchina. In caso di domande o se sor gono problemi 
relativi al collegamento dell’apparecchio che non sono 
stati trattati nel presente manuale , contattare 
l’autoconcessionario.
