POWER switch
For turning on and off the power to the unit.
The power is on when the switch is set to “ ” and off
when set to “ .”

POWER lamp
The lamp is lit in green when power is supplied.
It flashes if trouble occurs in the backup battery for file
systems or any abnormality is detected in internal
thermal monitoring.

SYSTEM lamp
The lamp is dark when the unit is operating normally
after self-diagnosis has finished with no abnormality
detected during initialization (power-up) of the system.
It flashes in red during initialization or a rebuild
operation after hard disk replacement, or if any
abnormality occurs in a fan, hard disk (replacement
requested), or reference input.
Note
If the POWER lamp flashes or the SYSTEM lamp stays
flashing/lit, consult your Sony dealer.

HDD (hard disk drive) lamps
The lamp that corresponds to the HDD being accessed
lights when the unit is operating normally after self-
diagnosis has finished with no abnormality detected
during initialization (power-up) of the system.
