An error message appears when using voice-related software programs
Double-click
Yamaha DS-XG Audio Config
in
Control Panel
. Open the
Echo
tab
and deselect the
Enable
check box. Click
OK
.
If you are using several voice-related software programs at the same time, close
them.
About the modem
My modem (PC card) doesn’t work
Check that your PC card is properly inserted into your computer (label side facing
up).
Check that your PC card modem has been detected by the system.
Check that the phone line is plugged into your PC card.
Check that the phone line is working. You can check the line by plugging in an
ordinary phone and listening for a dial tone.
Check that the phone number the program is dialing is correct.
Check that the communication software you are using is compatible with the PC
card: make sure that the driver selected in your communication software matches
your PC card programming (refer to your communication software user manual).
Check that your PC card modem responds to AT-commands by doing a
diagnostics test: Click
Start
, go to
Settings
, click on
Control Panel,
then select
Modems
and click the
Diagnostics
tab. Select the COM One Platinium Card
