Searching using the AMS function

The unit can search up to 99 blank spaces ahead of or behind the current
position.

Press KARAOKE ON/OFF to set karaoke mode to on.

Insert a tape into the unit.

The unit starts searching and the number of blank spaces on the TV
screen counts down to zero.  Playback starts automatically from that
point.

To stop searching

Press

 STOP.

Note

• You cannot use the AMS function on tapes that have many blank spaces in a short

time span such as dramas and dialogues.  In this case, set SEARCH MODE to
INDEX in step 2 of “Selecting the AMS function.”  For more details about the Index
Search function, see “Searching using the index function” on page 27.
