Enjoying Playback and Recording a Tape

Recording TV
programmes

When your TV is equipped with audio/
video output jacks, you can record a
programme showing on the TV.

Before you start

• Connect the LINE-1 IN jacks of the

player to the audio/video output jacks
of your TV.

• Make sure that CONNECT L1 on the

menu option is set to TV.

Turn on your TV and set it to the video channel.

Press INPUT SELECT 1 (or press VHS INPUT SELECT on the remote
repeatedly until “LINE1” appears).

INPUT SELECT 1 button lights up.

Insert a tape with its safety tab in place into the VHS part of this player.

Press TAPE SPEED to select the tape speed, SP or LP.

LP provides recording time twice as long as SP; however, SP produces
better picture and audio quality.

Press

r

REC to start recording.

During recording, do not change the TV channel or turn off the TV.
When the tape reaches the end, the unit automatically rewinds it to the
beginning.
