If there are no files in the or folder, no folders are displayed in the display
window. A folder containing a file will be displayed.
Cannot Divide - Exceeds Max 199 Files in Folder
When there are already 199 files in the selected folder or the total number of files
stored on the IC recorder exceeds the maximum, you cannot divide a file. Erase
some files before dividing a file.

Same File Name Exists
A file of the same file name already exists in the folder, so a file cannot be created
or renamed.
Erased Track Marks too near Divide Point
When there is a track mark set within 0.5 seconds from the dividing position, the
track mark is automatically erased.
No operation with Memory Card
You cannot set an alarm in a file stored on a memory card. Switch the memory
media of the IC recorder to “Built-In Memory.”

Check The Volume Level
The volume of the playback sound exceeds the specified volume level. Adjust the
volume to a moderate level.
Turn off Scene Select
When the Scene Select function is set to a value other than “Scene Select Off,”
“REC Mode,” “Sensitivity setting” for “Built-in Mic Setting” or “Ext. Input Setting,”
“LCF(Low Cut),” “LIMITER” and “VOR” cannot be set.

System Error
A system error other than the above has occurred. Press the RESET button to
restart the IC recorder. If the problem still persists, contact your nearest Sony
dealer.
Continue REC in Other Memory
When “Cross-Memory REC” in the menu is enabled and the memory media
currently being used becomes full during recording, the IC recorder switches to the
other memory media and continues recording.

No Memory Card
There is no memory card inserted into the memory card slot when you attempt to
set the “Select Memory,” “File Copy,” or “Cross-Memory REC” menus.
Manual Setting Only
“Sensitivity setting” for “Built-in Mic Setting” or “Ext. Input Setting” is not set to
“Manual.” The LIMITER function does not work.

Invalid in Manual Setting
“Sensitivity setting” for “Built-in Mic Setting” or “Ext. Input Setting” is set to
“Manual.” The VOR function does not work.
