If necessary, change the transfer mode.
As the default setting, tracks in the OpenMG (PCM/ATRAC3/ATRAC3plus) format
will be transferred in the same format and bit rate (normal transfer).
If the device connected to the computer does not support the above format, the format
and bit rate will be converted to those of the device. In some case, this process may
take time.
If you want to change the format and bit rate, click [Settings] in the center of the screen
to display “Transfer Mode Settings” dialog box.

To play a disc on a Net MD device that does not support Hi-MD
If you want to play the transferred tracks on a Net MD Walkman that does not support Hi-
MD, select [Net MD] for the mode (operation mode) on the right side of the screen after
step 2. This operation mode can be selected only when using a 60/74/80-minute standard
disc in Hi-MD mode for recording.
•
A transfer will fail and an error message will appear in the following cases:
—When there is no enough free space on the disc.
—When the track is subject to playback restrictions.
•
During the transfer, the system suspend, sleep, or hibernation function will not operate.
•
Depending on the type of the text and number of characters, the text entered by SonicStage may not be
displayed on the connected MD Walkman. This is due to the limitations of the connected MD
Walkman.

If you are using a camera-equipped Hi-MD Walkman in Hi-MD mode, whenever you select an album
for which album art has been registered, the cover art is transferred to the Hi-MD Walkman along with
the album. Cover art is not be transferred in the case of individual tracks.
