Recording your favorite
MD tracks on a tape

— MD-TAPE Synchro Recording

You can record a whole MD on a tape.
You can use TYPE I (normal) tape.

Load a recordable tape.

Load a MD you want to record.

Press SYNCHRO repeatedly until
“MD

t

TAPE SYNC” appears.

Press ENTER/START.

“Press START” flashes.
The tape deck stands by for recording and
the MD deck pauses for play.

” lights up and the tape deck stands by

for recording.
To start recording from the side facing away
from you, press TAPE

Press DIRECTION repeatedly until

appears to record on one side or

(or

) to record on both sides.

If you select both sides recording and the
tape reaches the end of the front side part-
way through a track, the entire track is
recorded again from the beginning of the
reverse side. If you start from the reverse
side, recording stops at the end of the
reverse side.

Press ENTER/START while “Press
START” flashes.

Recording starts.
When the recording is completed, the MD
deck, and the tape deck stop automatically.

You can record only your favorite MD tracks
using the Program Play. Between steps 2 and 3,
perform steps 1 to 5 of “Programming MD
tracks” (page 15).

Note

When you use MD-TAPE Synchro Recording, cancel
the Group Function.
