Message format
Text messages received by your phone are just strings of characters. To
make message reading easier, you can set your phone to format the text
using one of the following settings:

Accessing messages

Press
from the standby display.
The Messages display appears indicating the number of messages
found in each of the following mailboxes:
• Voice mail messages.
• Unread text messages and pagings.
• Old text messages and pagings stored in memory.
Duplicate messages
If you receive the same message more than once, only the most recent
duplicate message is stored and
Duplicate
is displayed next to it.
To erase a message

After reading a text message or listening to a voice mail
message, push Jog Dial.

Scroll and select
Erase Msg
.
To go back to the Messages display without erasing the message,
press
CLR
.
