Name and Function of the Indicators
The following indicators are arranged above and below
the viewfinder screen to show the status or settings of
the camcorder.
Function of each indicator may vary with the camcorder you
are using. Please refer to the manual supplied with your
camcorder to confirm the indicators’ functions.
1
TALLY indicator (green)
Lights up when the camcorder receives a green tally
control signal.
2
BATT indicator
Starts flashing when the battery voltage supplied to the
camcorder drops below the minimum level, and stays
lit when the battery is exhausted. To prevent
interruption during operation, replace the battery as
soon as this indicator starts flashing.
The level at which the indicator starts flashing can be set on
the camcorder. For more details, see the manual supplied
with your camcorder.
3
TALLY/REC indicator (red)
Depending on the status, this indicator will light up or
flash.
When lit:
• The image is being recorded.
• The camcorder receives a red tally control signal.
Note
This indicator will be brighter than usual for a moment
after it is first lit. This is only a warning, and not a
malfunction.
When flashing: The servo system of the camcorder’s
internal VTR is unlocked.
For more details on the status by which the TALLY/REC
indicator will light or flash, see the manual supplied with
your camcorder.
4

Lights up when the camcorder’s internal VTR is set to
power save mode.
5
(warning) indicator
Lights up when the camcorder is used under certain
conditions. These conditions can be set on the
