To avoid shock hazards and/or damage to the mounted
circuit boards, be sure to turn off the power switch of
DNE-1000 before replacing the main parts.
3-2-1. Replacement of Search Dial
1. Remove the upper panel assembly.
(Refer to the step 1 of the section 2-2-1.)
2. Disconnect the one connector (CN3) on the CPU-206
board. (Refer to the step 2 of the section 2-2-1.)
3. Remove the dial knob rubber, the dial knob and the
search dial.
(Refer to the steps 4 through 6 of the section 2-2-1.)
4. Disconnect the one connector (CN1) on the search
dial.
5. Remove the three screws and the JOG bracket.
6. Install a new search dial in the reverse order of the
steps 1 through 5.

1. When installing the fan, take care the direction of the
airflow.
2. When installing the fan, put the harness in the notch of
the fan shown in the figure.
After installing the fan, insert the harness between the
upper fan and the lower fan. Pull the harness toward
the arrow A, then hold it with the ferrite bead.
(Ferrite bead : For the units of the serial numbers from
10001 to 10050.)
3. Apply locking compound to the two screws securing
the fan and the four screws securing the fan cover.
