Calling
Calling
Before you can make or receive any calls, you must turn
on the phone and be within range of a network.
See “Holding the Phone” on page 6.
Making calls
1.
Enter the area code and the phone number.
2.
Press
YES
to make the call.
3.
Press
NO
to end the call.
Tip:
You can call numbers from the call list and the
phonebook. See “Call list” on page 33 and
“Phonebook” on page 33.
To change the earpiece volume during a call
• Press the upper or lower side volume key to increase or
decrease the earpiece volume.
To mute the microphone during a call
• Press and hold
until the display shows
.
Press
again to resume the conversation. To mute
the ringer, see“To mute the ringer” on page 32.
Using the speakerphone during a call
You can use your phone as a speakerphone during a call,
for example, when you want others to participate in a
conversation or when you need to have your hands free
during the call. Your speakerphone works best in a quiet
environment.
Note:
While the speakerphone is on, do not hold the
phone close to your ear as this may cause damage to
your hearing. Place the phone about 30-50 cm (12-20
inches) in front of you and speak with the microphone
facing you.
To turn the speakerphone on or off

turn off the speakerphone at any time during the call,

When your call ends, the speakerphone is
automatically turned off.
Note:
The speakerphone is not available when you use
your phone with any handsfree equipment.
