Rating and Colour
Additionally, Wave allows to classify screenshots using 2 useful properties: the rating and
the colour. The rating is 1, 2 or 3 stars. A good way to use ratings would be, for example,
to set all screenshots that need to be part of a report with 3 stars, as they indicate a flaw.
The colour is a second characteristic that could be used to categorise screenshots.
Whether it is to help classify the type of defect, differentiate screenshots taken in the
morning from those taken in the afternoon, or categorise as per the position (e.g., top,
bottom, left side and right side), you can choose the category you need.
Of course, neither a rating nor colour need to be used. They can be left at their default
values.
When saving the screenshot, the image of the screen saved, and all the UT inspection
parameters are also recorded. This additional information is what we call the metadata.
What is saved is a perfect snapshot of the screen content and all the inspection
parameters at the exact time the screenshot was taken.
13.2.3
Cancel and Save
By clicking the
Cancel
button, the screenshot is discarded, and you are brought back to
the inspection screen.
Clicking on the
Save
button saves the screenshot, name, comment section, time stamp,
rating and choice of colours. Note that all these parameters can be modified later, except
for the time stamp, which remains unchanged.
