floodlight with motion detector
Before using the product for the first time, please read the instructions for use below and retain them for later reference. The original instructions
were written in the Hungarian language
.
Despite its compact design, it provides exceptional light intensity. The adjustable base allows for both horizontal and vertical mounting. However, it is
important to make sure that the bulb itself is positioned precisely horizontally at all times, otherwise its lifetime will significantly reduce.
The fixture is subject to extreme heat generation while in operation. Therefore, it is intended for outdoor use only where free air circulation provides for natural
cooling. Keep away from flammable substances. Do not touch while powered on.
Motion detector
The light is turned on by the built-in motion detector, and it turns off automatically after the preset period of time. If there is ongoing movement in the observed area,
then the switch-off period starts when the last detected movement ceases. This period can be adjusted from 10 seconds to 7 minutes using the TIME dial.
Additionally, the light can be set up to turn on only if the environment light is below a desired level. The LUX dial adjusts the threshold (3-2000 LUX) below which the
light turns on if movement is detected. This ensures that the light only comes on when needed. The SENS dial adjusts the detection distance between approximately
5 and 12 meters.
Additional tips
• If the person in motion and the surrounding environment are not far apart in temperature (e.g. on a hot summer day), the 12-m detection range may shrink down to
half.
• Occasional hot air blasts, wind gusts, cars (hot engine) passing by or other similar events may trigger false activation.
• If a part or the whole of the ambient light sensor is screened of (e.g. beneath roof or treetop), the floodlight is subject to occasional activation when detecting
motions even in daylight.
• It is sensible to try and keep the detection range as clear as possible.
Remove back cover of base box and observe marking beside terminal block. Always connect to earthed networks. To be connected by qualified personnel only.
Always comply with relevant safety standards.
Replacing bulbs and shield
Let the floodlight cool off and disconnect power supply. Remove top bolt. Fold down front cover, push bulb aside and lift it off its socket. Avoid touching the new bulb
with bare hands or use soft cloth to wipe it clean once in place. Proper care will extend bulb lifetime. (Note: the lifetime of the free bulb included with the set may be
shorter than that of bulbs purchased separately.)
At the same time, check the integrity of the shield, and replace with a new one if it is cracked or broken.

The motion detector
does not switch the
unit off.
Check the unit's connections and the power supply
.
Check if the bulb has burned out.
Check whether the adjusted light sensitivity is appropriate.
Check whether something is obstructing the motion detector's window, or if it requires cleaning.
The ambient temperature may be too high.
Check whether there is an induction signal source in the motion detector's sensing area. (e.g. electric motor)
Check the installation height.
Check whether the direction of motion detection is appropriate.
Check whether there is a constant infrared signal source in the motion detector's sensing area.
Check whether the delay time is set to maximum.
Check that the mains voltage is 230
VAC / 50
Hz.
Check whether the temperature varies frequently in the vicinity of the sensor (e.g., due to air conditioner or heater).
The light does not
illuminate on detection
of movement.
Low sensitivity.
