Modes:
3 modes can be chosen using the
MODE
(19.) button: video recording, photography, play. The associated pictograms are shown in the upper left corner.
Video recording
This mode is active, after connecting the charging cable, or pressing the ON button. The recording starts, if there is a memory card placed in the device. A red circle blinks in
the upper left of the screen, and in the upper right corner the elapsed time can be seen. The
OK
(15.) button can be used to pause or restart the recording.
Camera
Choose the photo mode with the
MODE
(19.) button. You can take pictures with the
OK
(15.) button. During recording modes cannot be switched, the recording needs
to be stopped before that!
Play
Choose the play mode with the
MODE
(19.) button. The data shown on the screen can be deleted by pressing the
OK
(15.) button. After this the slideshow function shoes
the taken pictures. With the arrow buttons (16.) (18.) you can scroll between the photos and video recordings. In the uppr right corner the recording parameters can be
seen. To play the chosen video, press the
OK
(15.) button. This same button is also the PAUSE function, while the
DOWN
arrow (16.) is the STOP, jump back to the start
of the recording.
Automatic recording during movement detection
In the menu
(Motion Detection)
there is the possibility to setup, that if the camera detects movement, then the recording starts automatically, and records 10 sec. If there
is no change before the objective, the recording pauses.
Automatic recording in “Parking guard” mode
In the menu
(Parking Monitor)
there is the possibility to setup, that if there is a crash, then the recording will automatically start and will record 20 sec. If during your absence
someone damages the vehicle, the camera has a good chance of recording it. The velocity of the crash that prompts the automatic recording can be set with the sensitivity
of the gyroscope (
G-Sensor
menu point). The function can be activated by pressing the red
“P”
button.
Shake protection
In the menu
(Anti-Shake)
there is the possibility to setup, so that the intense shaking of the camera would be less annoying. You can check with a trial recording if the
setup has the desired effect.
Night mode
The LED that emits the infrared light can be turned ON and OFF by briefly pressing the ON/OFF (12.) button. The LED symbol on the right of the screen shows if the mode is
turned on. Do not use the mode during the day, as this can lower the quality of the recordings! It is not necessary to use this mode, if the vehicles headlights light the road.
Automatically lock important recordings
Thanks to the in-built gyroscope the camera can detect if a crash happened. In this case it locks the presently running recording cycle and wil not delete it even if the
recording continues for a prolonged time. If the memory cards is full it will delete the oldest files in stages, but will leave the locked one. Cameras that do not have this function
often delete the important recordings unseen by the time they become necessary.
Protecting, or deleting recordings
In play mode choose the recording you wish to delete, or give it protection from deleting. Press
MENU
(10.) button, then with the
DOWN/UP
(16.,18.) buttons choose the
desired option; DELETE for deleting, PROTECT for protecting from deleting. When pressing the
OK
(15.) button it asks, if you want to delete the highlighted recording,
or all of them. Choose with the
DOWN/UP
(16.,18.) buttons, then confirm it with the
OK
(15.) button. After this the device asks for another confirmation before deleting.
(16.,18.,15.) If you wish to protect a recording from deleting, then in case of successful setup a key will be displayed on the top of the screen, when playing starts.
Of course - using the accessory USB connection cable („MASS STORAGE”) – connecting it to a computer also allows to delete or copy recordings. In this case you need to
find the memory card, and on it the DCIM folder. If you have a card reader, you can place the memory card in it in order to work with the recordings.
Watching the recordings on the television
By plugging in a separately purchasable connection cable into the
AV
(4.) or
HDMI
(5.) sockets the camera can be connected to a television, projector, or video recorder. The
necessary cable type is specified by the device you wish to connect. In case of an LCD television the necessary power is supplied trough the USB socket they usually have.
In other cases it is necessary to acquire an external USB adapter in order to use the camera outside the vehicle. (e.g. SA 1000USB, SA 2100USB)
Settings, using the MENU (video recording, camera, play)
Depending on which mode the device is in, separate settings are accessible through pressing the
MENU
(10.) button once or twice.
For highlighting or choosinguse the
DOWN/UP
(16.,18.) and
OK
(15.) buttons.
