The curtain has to be fixed directly on the shaft with suitable attachments.
Their effective operation can only be assured if the slats’ inlet into the hous-
ing is within the range defined by ROMA (see attached selection table). This
has to be observed particularly in case the guide rails have been cut subsequently or
the curtains’ height has been modified and; if necessary; to be adjusted by adapting
the number of the curtains’ slats.
ILMO WT is an auto-adaptive electronic motor. No programmation necessary. The
motor only has to be implemented and can be put into operation without any further
settings. The final positions are automatically set by an integrated torque limiter.
Connections of a 230 V-unit may only be implemented by a trained assistant. There is
the risk of injury due to electrocution! Prior to system maintenance, all circuit connec-
tions handled with have to be switched to zero potential. The regulations of the local
energy supply company as well as the regulations of wet and damp rooms according
to VDE 0100 must be followed when making the onside connections. The drive may
definitely be energized in only one running direction at a time. Therefore only electri-
cal or mechanical interlocked switches or feelers should be used. If the drive gets
energized by a control unit with programmable reversing relay, a reversing-delay time
of at least 500 ms must be ensured (for example with bus actuators; programmable
roller shutter controls). Several Somfy ILMO WT electronic motors can be connected
in parallel. If connecting the drives in parallel, please note the maximum ampacity of
the control unit (switch, clock relay, electronic control unit, etc.). Suggestion: don’t
connect more than 3-4 motors in parallel.
After having completed the modification of the roller shutter (p. ex. exchange of the curtain), the automatically adapted parameters of the drive shall be reset before putting
the drive into operation again.
This drive is especially used for narrow roller shutters. The drives‘ electronic components are situated in an individual casing which is integrated into the side part of the
roller shutter. For connection an operation please follow the above mentioned instructions!
